A creative, out-of-the-box vision requires bold imagination and thoughtful execution to bring it to life in a cohesive design.

For our clients in Los Feliz, CA this meant a top-to-bottom renovation, reimagining their kitchen, multiple baths, bedrooms, an outdoor kitchen, and their pool. They had no shortage of ideas but needed a designer who could help them distill their vision into a refined yet boundary-pushing aesthetic.

We were beyond thrilled when the clients said "YES!" to turning the volume all the way up in the dining room- from the bright pink paint, to the technicolor curtains, to the orange leopard upholstery for the chairs, the entire space was an experiment in packing as much of a punch as possible into one space.

The fully renovated kitchen is a masterful blend of old-world charm and playful modernity, where exquisite craftsmanship meets a touch of the unexpected. A statement hand-painted vintage La Cornue range (found by the clients on eBay), sculptural lighting, and zebra-upholstered stools infuse a sense of whimsy and personality into the space. A curved brass island and millwork accents was the painstaking work of one of the many skilled craftsmen we collaborate with regularly.

Each bedroom in the house is a distinct and eclectic oasis. In the primary bedroom, a Schumacher print envelopes the entire space while playful accents— zebra-print lamps and a Memphis style mirror—make for an unexpected pairing. Meanwhile, guests are "welcomed to the jungle" when they spend a night at Casa Berendo.

From striking, unconventional finishes to one-of-a-kind furnishings, the result is a home unlike any other—an imaginative blend of form and function.
